History & Purpose

The Texas Knifemakers’ Guild was formed in January of 2015 for the purpose of promoting knifemaking in Texas. The group had its initial membership drive in September 2015, and was granted 501c3 nonprofit status in December 2015. The TKG hosts educational events around the state, in the form of workshops, seminars, and “hammer-ins”. We also partner with show promoters to co-host knife shows in conjunction with educational seminars open to the public. If the TKG could be summed up in one phrase, it would be “Bringing knifemakers together.”
